£2.35 180g

I was a little worried about using it, because it's absolutly full of glitter. Luckly for me, none of it stuck at all (and the little that did, washed off). The smell of lemongrass was fresh and uplifting, and it turned the bath a wonderfull green colour. The glitter dancing around in the water was really pretty!

Oh, and its full of avocado and olive oils, which made my skin sooo soft, and not greasy at all!

4 out of 5 for me. I loved it (although im usually not a fan of citrus smells), but some people might be put off by the glitter.

Trichomania (shampoo)

£3.75 100g

The name 'Trichomania' means 'love of hair'. Its rather strange i have to say, and not in a bad way, just.. Different.

Its a solid block, and its quite hard, yet brittle. It smells of coconut, which i think is a great smell.. Shame every one thinks that you are smothered in suncream when they smell it, even on a dull day!

It was easy to use. I cut off a small chunk (although you could just rub the whole bar on your head) and rubbed it all over my head. It instantly started to lather up. When dryed my hair felt really soft, and was super shiney! This is one of my lush staples. I love this product!

5 out of 5. This is one of the products thats got me hooked on lush. Any one that loves coconut should use this, and lush's coconut deodorant poweder for the full tropical experience!

Jungle (conditioner)

£3.50 100g

Its made of loads of tropical fuit oils, and contains cocoa butters which are good for your hair and scalp.

This was also strange, but not in a bad way. When you look at it from the side, (that pictures a bad one) You can see the layers of it. The out sides hard, then there is a very soft layer, then another hard layer. Due to the strange consistancy of it, it was quite hard to apply. I would suggest cutting off a small chunk, putting it in a pot with some hot liquid (small amount) and mushing it up to make a liquid. Its much easier to use this way.

It was easy to wash out, which was a relief, seems as i find most are almost impossible to wash out, and usually have to Shampoo my hair after to prevent it looking greasy! (No, im not using to much!)

My hair is now so soft and shiney! Much better than my usual 'Tresemmé', or 'bed head' conditioners.

Even though it was hard to apply, i have to say, this is a great product. (Although i still cant tell what it smells like! One of the best lush smells.)

4 out of 5. One of the best lush smells in my opinion, but it can be awkward to use. If melted down, its an amazing skin conditioner, and people swear by it as a shaving cream. (im a man, i wouldnt know..)

Trichomania is good, and you're write about your hair feeling soft and smelling of coconut, but I made the mistake of not using enough the first time. You need a reasonable sized lump, as I found that in this hot weather my hair needed washing much sooner than it would normally, and as it didn't smell of coconut as much as suggested after rinsing, I figure I didn't use enough.

I agree with the 5/5 though =)

LUSH isn`t all-natural, Trust Me!

I used to love LUSH & went looking for a shampoo with tea tree oil & natural materials, to treat my dry scalp. Well guess what I am surprised to find: their solid shampoo bars contain Sodium Lauryl Sulfate (SLS) as one of the very primary ingredients. The shampoo was advertised in the store as a tea tree based shampoo (I forget the name of the product), but in the ingredients list, tea tree was found near the bottom! SLS is a known chemical and research are proving that SLS entering the bloodstream or organs through the scalp and skin can provide cancerous and fatal, not to mention that putting chemicals in your hair leads to weak and more brittle hair, and never mind the environmental costs of it!

But the LUSH CANADA website proudly talks of SLS as simply a product that creates those luxurious foam and lathers. SLS is a known cleansing detergent and also an agent that keeps bacteria & fungi out of cosmetic products. So how fresh are LUSH products if they need to depend upon SLS to keep it fresh, not very!

You can read more about LUSH`s false marketing gimmick in my blog post here: http://ialam.livejournal.com/4590.html?view=15854#t15854
